System Administration Engineer

TSD is looking to hire a System Administration Engineer, who will be part of the IT team of a US-based company in the financial industry.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The System Administration Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the availability of the core systems and company environments, actively participating in ongoing cloud migration projects, and administration of the company IT environment.

Job Role:

  • Microsoft based domain administration – Windows Server 2012-2019 and all related technologies, including but not limited to: Active Directory (users, machines, GPOs), DNS, DHCP, DC, Windows server roles, O365 administration.

  • Citrix environment administration – on-premises Citrix environment administration and support (virtual desktops and published apps).

  • Azure environment administration – virtual application and DB server administration and administration of a hybrid environment (on-premises and cloud). AD and DC sync administration between cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Assistance in the migration of business-critical resources to Azure and maintenance of existing resources.

  • Virtualization administration – work with virtual application and DB servers on Hyper-V and VMware hosts in the on-premises infrastructure.

  • Perform systems/software administration, backup/recovery monitoring, problem resolution, and change/incident management.

  • Works directly with internal IT teams to troubleshoot reported issues with the company systems or environments.

  • Develop documentation for company systems, policies, and procedures. Establish problem resolution and communication procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with advanced Microsoft based environments (Windows Server, Windows Desktop OS).

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience with virtual technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with Citrix based environments (App and VDI).

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS).

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with Incident and Change management.

  • Experience with PowerShell automation of repetitive tasks is a plus.
