How did your journey with TSD start back in 2014? Do you remember your first day?
At that time – and even today – TSD was one of the most attractive employers in Troyan, offering not only competitive salaries but also the opportunity to work with international conglomerates. This was truly impressive for a small provincial town.
I applied for a position at TSD while still working for my previous employer, but to be honest, I didn’t expect to get a call. I had neither a technical background nor any prior marketing experience, so I assumed my chances of being selected were minimal. Luckily, TSD had just launched one of the first editions of its Bootcamp program – an initiative designed to give opportunities to people with no prior experience by investing in their training and career development to turn them into skilled professionals. That was my golden ticket into the world of marketing and technology, and that’s how my journey with the company began.

What was your role in the beginning, and where are you at right now? Can you compare then and now?
I started at TSD as a Marketing Executive. In the beginning, everything was new to me – both the IT industry and the marketing field. I had to absorb a lot of knowledge in a short time, but I have always loved challenging myself, and that drive helped me push forward and grow. Back then, my work revolved around maintaining the website, creating content, managing social media, and supporting various marketing initiatives.
As the years went by, I gained experience and confidence, took on greater responsibilities, built the marketing department from the ground up, and formed my own team. I moved through the roles of Marketing Specialist, then Team Lead, and today I am the Marketing Manager. The difference between then and now is immense. In the early days, I was focused on executing specific tasks. Today, I work as a marketing generalist, actively shaping marketing strategies, planning campaigns, and making key decisions for the various business lines within the TSD Group of IT companies.

What are the everyday challenges you face in your work, and what fundamental skills or personal qualities are needed to handle them?
One of the biggest challenges in my role is communication and coordination across different teams. Marketing doesn’t operate in isolation – we constantly interact with other departments like Sales, Product Management, and Development to ensure our messaging and strategies align with business goals. This requires clear communication, the ability to prioritize effectively, and a great deal of flexibility, as we often need to adjust our plans on the go.
Another key challenge is working with limited resources and time. Often, we have to make quick decisions and come up with creative solutions while navigating constraints.
Additionally, the field of digital marketing evolves rapidly, so staying up to date with social media algorithm changes, new advertising formats, and AI-driven tools is crucial. Adapting to these trends and committing to continuous learning is essential to stay ahead of the curve.

What is your favorite part about working at TSD, and how does your job inspire you?
One of the things I appreciate the most about working at TSD is the diversity of opportunities and challenges. TSD Group isn’t just one IT company, it’s a group of companies with different focuses and business lines, ranging from IT outsourcing to in-house product development. This variety keeps my job dynamic and inspiring.
Marketing in such an environment requires flexibility, creativity, and strategic thinking. We need to build and position multiple brands, communicate with different audiences, and tailor our messaging to specific business objectives. This gives me the chance to constantly learn, experiment with new marketing approaches, and see the tangible impact of my work on the company’s growth.

What is the most important lesson you have learned over the years?
If I had to highlight one key lesson, it would be that success comes from persistence, adaptability, and a willingness to learn. In a fast-paced industry like IT marketing, you can’t rely on the same strategies forever – you need to evolve, experiment, and embrace the change. I’ve also learned the importance of teamwork. Even the best ideas can’t come to life without the right people around you. Success is a collective effort, and when you work with a motivated and supportive team, challenges turn into opportunities.
Finally, perfection is not always necessary for success. Sometimes, taking action is more important than waiting for the perfect moment. Being flexible and making decisions in real time is crucial for both business and personal growth.

What does it take to become a Marketing Manager, and what advice would you give to those following your path?
Becoming a Marketing Manager is not just about the title, it’s about continuous learning, adaptability, and strategic thinking. There’s no single formula for success in marketing. You need to be both analytical and creative, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and always keep the bigger picture in mind.
For those looking to follow this path, I would give three key pieces of advice:

I’ve stayed at TSD for 10 years because I’ve found more than just a workplace – I’ve found an environment that challenges, develops, and motivates me. What I value most is that TSD has not only given me the opportunity and the foundation to build my career – from a complete beginner in marketing to a leadership position – but has also encouraged me to experiment, learn, and push my limits.
Work at TSD is never stagnant. Thanks to the different business divisions within the group, there are always new challenges, projects, and opportunities to apply diverse marketing strategies. This has allowed me to develop my expertise while contributing to the company’s innovation and long-term success.

Who is Maya outside of the office, and what does she like to do for fun?
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. It’s the most valuable and energizing part of my life. Traveling also plays a big role in my happiness. I enjoy exploring new places and cultures, but I feel most at peace when I’m by the sea, where I can truly unwind.
Recently, I’ve discovered another passion—fitness. Spinning and weight training have become my favorite ways to relieve stress and recharge my energy.
At the same time, I also enjoy quiet moments—getting lost in a good book or movie and simply appreciating the little joys of solitude.

My family and personal ambitions are a huge driving force for me. I want to be a positive role model for my daughter, showing her that with persistence and dedication, anything is possible. Every day is a new opportunity to create something meaningful, learn something new, and take another step forward. That’s what fuels my enthusiasm and keeps me moving.

In ten years, I see myself as an even more confident and experienced professional, continuing to grow and contribute to the success of TSD Group. I have always been driven by learning and expanding my horizons, so why not imagine myself leading a new business division or even becoming a shareholder in a company under the TSD umbrella.
TSD has always been a place of opportunity, and I believe that as long as I keep growing and adding value, new doors will open.
