Data Engineer

TSD is looking to hire a Data Engineer, who will be part of a foreign based financial institution, focusing on the Data Governance and Business Intelligence side of the company’s IT organization.

Summary of Responsibilities

The Data Engineer is responsible for delivering analytical decision support systems as well as building the underlying processes for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from the company’s data sources.

Job Role:

  • Develop analytical and reporting solutions in support of the organization’s reporting and decision-taking needs.

  • Develop scalable and optimized processes for extraction, transformation, and loading of data.

  • Design and practically implement database models/structures as part of new requirements and optimization initiatives.

  • Write clean, scalable code using RDBMS programming languages (SQL/T-SQL).

  • Improve existing decision support systems functionality.

  • Collaborate with agile project teams as part of analytical and reporting software delivery lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with one or more BI and reporting tools (Power BI, SSRS or other)

  • Experience with one or more ETL tools (SSIS, DataFactory, Datastage, Informatica or other)

  • Experience with DB programing (SQL/T-SQL)

  • Good understanding and experience with relational database design principles and patterns.

  • Experience with the following technologies is good to have: Synapse, Kafka, Azure or AWS knowledge, Databricks, Datalake, Azure Stream Analytics.
