Database Developer in Data Governance (Mid/Senior Level)

TSD is looking to hire a Database Developer in Data Governance, who will be part of the IT team of a US-based company in financial industry.

Summary of Responsibilities

The Database Developer in Data Governance is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of all operational and reporting database systems.

Job Role

  • Constructs conceptual, logical, and physical data models and develops and maintains business logic within stored procedures and ETL transformations.

  • Designs and develops operational and reporting database systems utilizing the latest techniques in data modeling and ETL concepts.

  • Works with data specialists and technology teams to identify, develop and monitor comprehensive data quality and integrity rules and alerts for key metrics and critical data elements.

  • Develops, implements, and optimizes SQL queries. Reviews and troubleshoots database related issues. Analyzes existing SQL queries for performance improvements.

  • Support the Data Governance lead with identifying, collecting and reporting of key Data Governance metrics and creating monthly reports for the subsequent review.

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, T-SQL and DB programming.

  • Good understanding of SQL Server.

  • Proven experience with development of Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Execution. Plans, and SQL Server Profiler.

Good to have

  • Experience as a data governance analyst, or in a data quality management role.

  • Experience with one or more ETL tools (Azure Data Factory, SSIS)

  • Experience with Azure-based environments
