Junior Support Engineer (Night Shift)

LOCATION: SOFIA, PLOVDIV, TROYAN, REMOTE
DEPARTMENT: SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
WORK STATUS: FULL-TIME

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Junior Support Engineer, as part of the Data Operations team, is responsible for the integrity of the production data by administering steps required to resolve or escalate issues that may prevent successful completion of scheduled production processes and to ensure changes to the production environment that has been reviewed and authorized.

Job Role

  • Ensures that batch production scheduling and report distribution are accurate and timely.

  • Works directly with other teams to troubleshoot and support incidents regarding failed jobs and system issues.

  • Tracks incidents and requests through the centralized ticket tracking system.

  • Performs ad hoc requests for file manipulation/transfer (encryption/decryption of data).

  • Identifies potential problem trends with possible suggestions to reduce incidents.

  • Works with other IT teams during maintenance to ensure a minimum impact on production processes.

  • Communication with third-party vendors, requesting and providing information on production issues and handling of escalation paths.

Job Requirements:

  • Basic experience with Windows based environments and SQL (MSSQL, Windows Server, Azure, etc.).

  • Experience with PowerShell and CLI is a plus.

  • Highly developed organizational skills.

  • Highly developed, process-oriented skills for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and problem resolution.

  • Assist in testing of solutions.

  • Fluency in English.

  • Very good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or natural sciences preferred.
