Dear Relativity and RelativityOne customers,

The most wonderful time of the year is around the corner, and to make it even more delightful, we are presenting to you the final MaxBilling release for 2022. The latest app version brings along a couple of valuable additions that will definitely provide further power and flexibility to your billing processes.

While developing the newest features, our team took into consideration hosting and user charges, which are the main pillars of almost every billing model applied to the Relativity platform.

Go ahead and take a look below to find out what is new in MaxBilling 5.5.

Consider Storage Type Option Is Now Available

Hosting in RelativityOne is not simply hosting anymore. All the options that the platform provides regarding the optimization of hosting costs can now be reflected in MaxBilling invoices.

We enable you to bring additional transparency to the invoices provided to your clients by allowing them to see storage type breakdown, either per Matter or per Client, at your discretion. Reported data can now be even more comprehensive by leveraging the new Consider Storage Type option. Once activated, storage type will be additionally considered upon invoiced items aggregation. The corresponding tag – Review, Repository, or Cold Storage will be displayed after an invoice item’s actual name. To take advantage of this feature, navigate to your Invoice Templates and enable it.

New Split Users Fees Across Workspaces Option

Not only are users’ license fees usually negotiated on a Client or a Matter level, but MaxBilling also provides the opportunity to apply all possible charge levels – per Workspace, per Matter, per Client.

Let us introduce to you a scenario in which you need to charge each user for the workspaces they access on a Client level. For instance, you charge once per Client, and at the same time, you can observe per-workspace cost proportionally, which may vary across the different clients based on their workspaces count.

In case you recognize yourself in the example above, we have developed the right solution for your specific business needs. Check out the latest Split Users Fees Across Workspaces addition in MaxBilling Profiles and see the new option in action.
